Funding Profile (Medical)
The first section displays discipline funding compared to comparative group funding and individual peer discipline funding. A drop-down menu allows the user to select any peer institution for comparison.
A drop-down menu in the top left corner of the Grant Market Share provides the user with a way to select all granting agencies in the database or individual agencies.
The Grant Market Share section shows the institution name, the number of grants, and a bar chart showing total grant dollars the institution’s discipline physicians received, total grants dollars awarded in the discipline and the institution’s percentage of awarded grant dollars for physicians in the discipline.
Placing the cursor over the physicians icon for an institution will show the number of physicians in the discipline, the total number of physicians in the discipline across the peer group, and the percentage of disciplinary physicians that institution represents.
Holding your cursor over the bar chart displays the amount of funds captured by discipline physicians at that institution, the total number of dollars awarded to the discipline across the peer group, and the percentage of awarded dollars captured by the institution.
Selecting “Dollars per Grant” from the top left drop-down menu shows the institution name and a bar chart representing the Average Annual Dollars per Grant for that institution’s physicians within the discipline. A shaded area shows the average annual dollars per grant in the discipline across the peer group.
The Grants Radar presents a radar chart showing unit percentages for the following metrics: Total Federal Grants, Total Federal Grant Dollars, Faculty with Federal Grants, Dollars per Federal Grant, Federal Grant Dollars per Faculty, Federal Grants per Faculty, and Percentage of Faculty with Federal Grants.
