Honorific Awards Profile (Medical)

The Honorific Awards Profile presents discipline level Award Market Share analyses. Similar to the Article Profile, there are three sections to this page: the Honorific Awards list, the Award Market Share, and the Awards Radar.

The first section, Honorific Awards, displays a table showing award names, governing societies, prestige as determined by the NRC, and the number of awards for the discipline. The awards can be filtered by governing society and prestige using the leftmost dropdown menus, or manually selected using the checkboxes on the left. After making a selection, click “Apply” to recalculate the Market Share and Radar sections. Custom sets can be saved using the “Saved Filters” drop-down menu.

The second area is the Award Market share. The graph shows the institution and discipline name, the number of awards earned by the discipline's faculty within the discipline, and a chart whose bars and discipline icons represent the Award and Faculty Market Shares within the discipline, respectively.

Placing your cursor on the faculty icon for a particular institution's discipline will show the number of faculty in that discipline and that institution, the total number of faculty in the discipline across peers, and the percentage of disciplinary faculty that are at that institution.

Hovering your cursor on a discipline's bar displays the number of awards received by that institution in the given discipline, the total number of awards received across peers in the discipline, and the percentage of discipline awards received within the discipline.

Selecting “Per Faculty” in the upper left drop-down menu displays the awards per faculty, within the discipline, at each institution.. Hovering over the bar brings up the value for that institution.

The Awards Radar presents a radar chart showing unit percentages for the following metrics: Total Awards, Awards per Faculty, Awards per Faculty, and Percentage of Faculty with an Award.
