Reporting and Vitas (Activity Reporting and Reviews & Workflows)

Modified on Thu, Aug 1, 2024 at 2:51 PM

Depending on your Institution's subscription and depending on roles and permissions assigned by the administrator, you may have access to the Vitas and BioSketches area under Reporting.  In addition to accessing a standard (or system Vita), NIH Biosketch or Faculty Annual Report, you can also create your own custom CV, which you can save for reuse.

The Reporting Tab allows you to view permissioned reports (activity and/or accreditation), access Institutional vitas, create your own custom vita and generate a NIH BioSketch. Reports are separated into three sections: Activity Reports, Vitas, and Accreditation Reports.

Activity Reports: View Reports based on activities reported by faculty members.

Vitas and Biosketches: View your institution's custom vita or annual report, create your own custom vita or generate a NIH BioSketch.

Accreditation Reports: View reports commonly utilized for accreditation purposes.  Current accreditation reports include:  AACSB, ABET, CAEP and SACSCOC.

By drilling into one of these areas, you will be presented a list of reports. After selecting a report, utilize the filter and column settings to generate custom report results. Reports results may be exported by selecting "Export CSV".  Multiple export options may be presented.

Activity Reports:

Every activity in the "Activity Manager" has an associated report.  This allows permissioned users to run reports of activities at the faculty, department, college or institution level.

Activity reports offer many filtering options, which vary by report.  These reports generally offer the ability to see not just the counts on the main report page, but drilling down allows you to get to the individual details of the activities.  You can export any of the report views (summary of counts or details).

Vitas and BioSketches:

Your Institution may have provided a Vita and/or a Faculty Annual Report to be included in Faculty Insight.  These reports will appear in this section along with the NIH BioSketch.  You can also create a custom CV.  Read more about creating a custom CV here
